Here's a new version of my piece called 'Tiko's Blues' played on a Baton Rouge BARITONE Guitar X11S.
About this Song: What happens when you combine a 6/8 Persian rhythm, some funky blues and my dog together? I know it sounds silly but hear me out...
When we went to the breeder to pick a puppy, there happened to be a guitar in the room collecting dust on a stand. As the dogs are running around I happened to pick up the guitar to see their reaction. As I strum my go to Am add9 chord on the guitar two of the puppies stopped what they were doing and immediately came over to the guitar as it seemed it was the first time they heard guitar. One of them went on with his play time while one of them kept scratching, smelling the guitar and being curious at the sounds. It was love at first sight and it was meant to be that he's coming home. Little did he know that he will have to endure guitar music 24/7 for the rest of his life ::insert evil laugh:: I always used to play one specific 6/8 rhythmic idea that always got him excited to jump on me and wanted to dance. By accident I started to do a blues over the groove and this was the song that was born with Tiko's help. The bluesy part is inspired by Big Bill Broonzy’s “Hey Hey”.
TABs are available for this song at the tabs section if you want to learn this.
