Introducing my fifth release as Casey Monroe, my side project focusing on covers with a lullaby-inspired playing style. Today's cover is of the beautiful "Ashokan Farewell”. 

About the song: "Ashokan Farewell," composed by Jay Ungar in 1982, captures the bittersweet emotions he felt parting from friends and the beautiful Ashokan summer camp in the Catskills. Although not a Civil War-era tune, its haunting melody became the iconic theme of Ken Burns' The Civil War, evoking nostalgia and longing for many.
