Today feels especially meaningful as I share my 13th album, In Stillness!

This past year brought life changing contrasts. I said goodbye to my dog, Tiko, after nine years of him blessing my life. Not long after, we welcomed our daughter, Skylar, who is now seven months old. Experiencing both loss and new life within such a short span was profound. It asked something of me. Presence. Acceptance. Stillness.

Moments like these arrive disguised as something greater than you, and perhaps that is the lesson itself. As I entered my 40th year, I began to understand the importance of slowing down and tending to my inner world. The essence of being is one of the few things we truly have control over. This past year shifted my focus away from chasing sensory experiences and toward cultivating peace.

This album feels like an homage to that realization. Carl Jung once said, "Life really does begin at forty. Up until then, you are just doing research." In many ways, this feels like a beginning.

Thank you for being here with me. It has now been 20 years of releasing music, and I never imagined I would arrive at this kind of quiet clarity. The dream was never noise or recognition. It was peace. That peace will surely be tested as Skylar begins to run around, but it feels deeply earned.
