I recently reconnected with a special acoustic guitar in my collection. The one featuring a unique built-in humbucker pickup making it sound like an electric guitar. Revisiting this instrument and tracking its warm clean tone brought back a flood of inspiration, leading directly into my latest piece, "Higher Love."

This piece is about the natural evolution of affection. How the love we hold for one person gradually expands, shifts, and transcends out into the world around us as life moves forward. There is a profound law of reciprocity in life. The more love, warmth, and grace you put out into the world, the more it somehow finds its way back to you.

Working on this piece served me to stay grateful for the present moment, the people we share it with and the instruments that help us express it.
